OKX x Faheem Koora: Connecting Crypto With Football Culture

Cryptocurrency and football may seem like two different worlds, but they share something important: passionate digital communities.

Football brings people together through shared experiences, conversations and cultural moments. Cryptocurrency platforms, meanwhile, operate in a digital environment where awareness, credibility and understanding are essential to audience engagement.

Connecting these two spaces creates an opportunity for financial technology brands to reach audiences through interests they already follow.

That was the idea behind Tikit's OKX x Faheem Koora influencer campaign.

Working with OKX and football creator Faheem Koora, Tikit developed a campaign focused on increasing cryptocurrency awareness, encouraging platform adoption and strengthening audience trust through football-driven content and regional community engagement.

The campaign generated 165 million reach, 163 million views and a 3.2% engagement rate.

The results highlight how creator partnerships can introduce financial technology brands to broader audiences through culturally relevant content.

The Campaign: Bringing Crypto Into Football Conversations

Cryptocurrency marketing presents a different challenge from traditional consumer advertising.

Digital asset platforms need to communicate unfamiliar concepts, establish credibility and connect with audiences who may have different levels of financial knowledge.

For OKX, the campaign objective was to build awareness and trust while encouraging audiences to explore the platform.

Rather than relying exclusively on conventional financial content, Tikit collaborated with Faheem Koora to connect the brand with football audiences.

The campaign delivered:

165M

Reach

163M

Views

3.2%

Engagement rate

The strategy placed OKX within football-related creator content, using an established audience interest as a starting point for brand discovery.

Why Football Creates Opportunities for Crypto Awareness

Football is more than a sport.

It is a shared cultural experience that generates conversations across countries, languages and digital communities.

Fans follow matches, discuss players, share opinions and engage with creators who provide entertainment and commentary around the game.

For brands, these communities offer opportunities to connect with audiences through an existing interest rather than introducing an unfamiliar subject without context.

That distinction is particularly important for cryptocurrency.

Not everyone following football actively searches for information about digital assets. However, a familiar creator can introduce a platform within content audiences already choose to consume.

The objective is not to turn every football fan into a cryptocurrency user.

It is to make the brand more recognisable and create opportunities for interested audiences to learn more.

Faheem Koora and the Value of Creator Relevance

The effectiveness of an influencer partnership depends on more than follower count.

A creator's identity, audience relationship and content style all influence how a brand collaboration is received.

For OKX, working with Faheem Koora provided a connection to football-focused digital communities.

This allowed the campaign to approach cryptocurrency awareness through an established entertainment category rather than depending entirely on technical financial messaging.

Creator relevance matters because audiences follow people for specific reasons.

When a collaboration fits naturally within the creator's content, the brand can become part of a familiar viewing experience.

That familiarity may encourage initial attention, although it does not replace the need for accurate information or independent evaluation of financial products.

Making Financial Technology More Accessible

One of the challenges facing cryptocurrency platforms is the complexity of the category.

Terms relating to digital assets, exchanges, blockchain technology and trading may be unfamiliar to audiences who have not previously explored the market.

Influencer marketing can help make the first interaction with a brand less intimidating.

Rather than beginning with technical explanations, creator content can introduce the platform through an accessible narrative.

For OKX x Faheem Koora, football-driven storytelling created that initial point of connection.

The campaign aimed to increase awareness and encourage platform adoption by introducing OKX to regional audiences through content relevant to their interests.

However, awareness and understanding are not the same thing.

For financial services, effective communication should encourage informed decisions and clearly distinguish educational content from promotional claims.

Regional Communities and Cultural Relevance

Global platforms often need to communicate differently across markets.

A message that resonates with one audience may not carry the same relevance in another.

Regional creator partnerships can help bridge that gap.

Creators understand the interests, conversations and content preferences of their communities. Their established communication styles can make brand messages feel more familiar to local audiences.

For OKX, regional community engagement formed an important part of the campaign objective.

By connecting with football audiences through Faheem Koora, Tikit supported an approach grounded in cultural relevance rather than relying exclusively on broad financial advertising.

This is an important consideration for brands exploring leading influencer marketing in the UAE and wider regional markets.

Effective creator selection should reflect the audience a brand wants to reach, not simply the largest available following.

From Brand Awareness to Platform Consideration

For cryptocurrency platforms, audience engagement can involve several stages.

The first is awareness.

Consumers need to recognise the brand and understand what category it operates in.

The second is consideration.

Interested audiences may begin exploring the platform, researching its services and comparing available options.

The third involves a potential decision to register or use the platform.

These stages should not be confused.

A successful awareness campaign can introduce a platform to millions of people without establishing how many ultimately become users.

For OKX x Faheem Koora, the objective included platform adoption, but the reported campaign figures measure reach, views and engagement rather than registrations or verified conversions.

The metrics therefore demonstrate substantial visibility and content interaction, not confirmed user acquisition.

The Role of Trust in Crypto Marketing

Trust is particularly important when marketing financial products.

Audiences may associate a familiar creator with credibility, but a creator endorsement does not independently establish the safety, suitability or reliability of a cryptocurrency platform.

That makes responsible communication essential.

For brands operating in the digital asset category, influencer content should support awareness without presenting investment outcomes as guaranteed or minimising financial risks.

The OKX x Faheem Koora campaign included audience trust as a stated objective.

Football-driven creator content provided an opportunity to introduce the platform through a familiar digital personality and community.

Building lasting trust, however, also depends on transparent information, responsible messaging and the experience users have when interacting with the platform.

What 165 Million Reach and 163 Million Views Reveal

The campaign achieved 165 million reach, reflecting the reported scale of audience exposure.

It also generated 163 million views, demonstrating substantial consumption of the campaign content.

The 3.2% engagement rate adds another measure of audience interaction.

Together, these results show that the activation achieved significant visibility while generating engagement around the creator-led content.

For a campaign connecting cryptocurrency with football culture, this scale is relevant to the objective of introducing OKX beyond audiences already following financial technology.

However, the figures should be interpreted carefully.

Reach does not establish the number of people who developed a detailed understanding of cryptocurrency. Views do not confirm platform registrations, and engagement does not independently demonstrate audience trust or investment activity.

What the results establish is the scale of digital exposure and interaction achieved through the collaboration.

Sports Culture as a Gateway to Brand Discovery

The OKX x Faheem Koora campaign illustrates a broader opportunity for brands operating in complex industries.

Sometimes, the most effective introduction to a product category begins outside that category.

A football creator can introduce audiences to a financial technology brand. A lifestyle creator can make a technical product more approachable. An entertainment-focused collaboration can place an unfamiliar service within a recognised cultural setting.

The common factor is relevance.

Audiences are more likely to encounter content that connects with their existing interests than content that requires them to actively search for an unfamiliar product.

For cryptocurrency brands, this creates opportunities to expand awareness beyond established digital asset communities.

The challenge is ensuring that the creative connection supports accurate, responsible brand communication.

OKX x Faheem Koora: Where Football Meets Digital Finance

Tikit's collaboration with OKX and Faheem Koora brought cryptocurrency awareness into football-focused digital communities.

The campaign used creator-led storytelling and regional engagement to support OKX's objectives of increasing brand visibility, encouraging platform consideration and strengthening audience trust.

It delivered 165M reach, 163M views and a 3.2% engagement rate.

For financial technology brands exploring leading influencer marketing in the UAE, the campaign demonstrates how culturally relevant creator partnerships can introduce complex products to wider audiences.

The value lies in connecting a brand with conversations people are already having, while ensuring that awareness is supported by clear and responsible communication.

With OKX x Faheem Koora, Tikit brought football culture and cryptocurrency marketing into the same digital conversation, demonstrating the reach of creator-led storytelling across regional communities.
