How Krave Turned Social Media Storytelling Into Brand Growth

For a restaurant, the dining experience begins long before a customer takes their first bite.

It can begin with a photograph on Instagram. A video of a dish being prepared. A new collaboration appearing in someone's feed. A comment answered by the brand. Or simply a visual identity distinctive enough to make someone stop scrolling and remember the name.

That was the opportunity behind Tikit’s work with Krave.

The objective was to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement through dynamic social media storytelling, highlighting Krave’s premium food offerings, collaborations and unique dining experience.

Rather than treating social media as an isolated content channel, Tikit worked across the wider digital identity of the brand through brand refresh, social media handling and design, photography, videography, graphic design and community management.

The result was 15K+ follower growth and 5.8% engagement growth.

Krave demonstrates what can happen when hospitality social media is approached not as a collection of posts, but as an ongoing brand experience.

The Krave Strategy: More Than Social Media Posting

The objective behind Tikit’s work with Krave required more than simply increasing posting frequency.

The restaurant needed a digital presence capable of communicating what made the experience worth discovering.

Tikit’s approach brought several disciplines together:

Brand Refresh | Social Media Handling & Design | Photography | Videography | Graphic Design | Community Management

Together, the strategy delivered:

15K+ Follower Growth | 5.8% Engagement Growth

The significance of this approach is that each element supported the others.

Photography provided the visual assets. Videography brought movement and atmosphere into the content. Graphic design created consistency. Social media management turned those assets into an ongoing narrative. Community management kept the relationship active after content was published.

Instead of treating each service as a separate marketing activity, Tikit used them as parts of the same digital ecosystem.

Why Restaurant Marketing Has Become Visual Storytelling

Food is inherently sensory.

Customers care about taste, texture, presentation, atmosphere and experience, yet digital marketing cannot physically deliver most of those things.

It has to translate them visually.

That makes photography and video particularly important in hospitality marketing.

A menu description can explain a dish. Strong visual content can make someone imagine ordering it.

Video adds another layer. Movement can capture preparation, plating, interiors, people and the energy surrounding the dining experience in ways that a static promotional graphic cannot.

For Krave, Tikit’s photography and videography therefore served a larger purpose than producing attractive content.

They gave the brand the raw material needed to tell its story repeatedly across social media.

A Brand Refresh Creates the Foundation

Posting more content cannot fix an unclear digital identity.

Before a restaurant can build recognition, audiences need to encounter a brand that feels consistent enough to remember.

That is where Krave’s brand refresh becomes an important part of the wider strategy.

A refresh can create stronger alignment between how a restaurant presents itself physically and how it appears online. Visual direction, graphics, photography and social content can then reinforce the same identity rather than competing with one another.

For hospitality brands, this consistency matters because customers may encounter the business across several digital touchpoints before deciding to visit.

They might first discover a Reel, later see a tagged post, browse the profile, look at the menu and eventually return when choosing somewhere to eat.

Each interaction contributes to their perception of the brand.

A recognisable visual identity helps connect those moments.

Turning Premium Food Into Scroll-Stopping Content

A restaurant's product already contains much of what social platforms reward: colour, movement, transformation and detail.

The challenge is capturing it properly.

Photography can emphasise ingredients, plating and presentation. Short-form video can show a dish moving from preparation to table. Wider lifestyle content can communicate atmosphere and position food within the complete dining experience.

This is especially important when the objective is to showcase premium food offerings.

Calling food premium is far less persuasive than presenting it in a way that allows the audience to see the quality for themselves.

That changes the role of content.

Instead of making repeated promotional claims, the visual storytelling provides evidence of the experience the brand wants to communicate.

For Krave, photography, videography and graphic design gave Tikit different creative tools for maintaining that storytelling across the social calendar.

Collaborations Give Audiences Another Reason to Pay Attention

Restaurant content can become repetitive quickly.

Another dish. Another menu item. Another dining-room photograph.

Collaborations can interrupt that pattern by creating something new for existing audiences to discover.

They introduce additional personalities, communities or experiences into the brand's content and can provide fresh reasons for followers to interact.

The strategic value is particularly strong when the collaboration feels relevant to the restaurant's identity rather than functioning as an isolated promotional exercise.

For Krave, highlighting collaborations formed part of the wider objective alongside premium food offerings and the dining experience.

That allowed social storytelling to extend beyond what was being served and into what was happening around the brand.

Why Community Management Matters as Much as Content

Publishing is only half of social media.

The other half happens after the post goes live.

Customers ask questions. Followers comment. People tag the restaurant in their own content. Potential diners may want information before visiting. Existing customers share experiences publicly.

Ignoring those interactions turns social media into a broadcast channel.

Community management turns it into a relationship.

This was one of the components of Tikit’s approach for Krave and is particularly relevant when customer engagement is an explicit campaign objective.

A restaurant has opportunities for interaction that many other brands do not. Dining is social by nature, and customers frequently create their own content around meals and venues.

Responding to that behaviour helps keep the brand present in the conversation rather than limiting its activity to scheduled posts.

What 15K+ Follower Growth Means for the Brand

Krave recorded more than 15,000 in follower growth through Tikit’s work.

Follower growth is useful because it expands the audience that can encounter future brand content organically.

Unlike the reach generated by a single campaign, an expanded follower base can continue to provide an audience for subsequent menu launches, collaborations, announcements and restaurant storytelling.

However, follower count alone does not establish whether that audience is interested in what the brand publishes.

That is why Krave’s second reported result matters.

The brand also recorded 5.8% engagement growth.

Together, the two metrics provide a more complete picture: the social audience expanded while engagement also increased.

For a strategy designed specifically around brand visibility and customer engagement, those outcomes align directly with the stated objectives.

Why Hospitality Brands Need More Than One Content Skill

Krave also illustrates why restaurant social media increasingly requires a multidisciplinary approach.

Photography alone cannot manage a community.

Community management cannot compensate for weak creative assets.

Graphic design cannot capture the movement and atmosphere that video can.

And none of those individual services automatically creates a coherent brand strategy.

Tikit’s approach combined brand refresh, social media handling and design, photography, videography, graphic design and community management.

The strength lies in the connection between them.

When the same strategic direction informs each discipline, social media begins to feel like one brand rather than a collection of unrelated outputs.

That consistency becomes particularly important for premium hospitality businesses, where the digital experience often sets expectations for the physical one.

From Social Media Presence to Dining Experience

The strongest restaurant content does not simply document food.

It gives audiences a sense of what being there might feel like.

That can come through the details of a dish, the energy of video, a collaboration, visual branding or the conversations taking place around the restaurant online.

Krave’s strategy was built around bringing those elements together.

Through Tikit’s combination of creative production, social media management, brand development and community engagement, the restaurant achieved 15K+ follower growth and 5.8% engagement growth.

For hospitality brands exploring premium influencer marketing in the UAE and wider social media growth, the Krave case highlights an important distinction: visibility does not come from publishing content for the sake of remaining active.

It comes from building a digital identity people want to continue following.

For restaurants, the feed is increasingly part of the dining journey.

The experience starts before the reservation, before the menu and before the first plate reaches the table.
