Syde: Building a Stronger Digital Presence Around Food and Experience

A restaurant’s digital identity has to communicate something audiences cannot taste through a screen.

The food matters, but so does the atmosphere surrounding it. The energy of the space, variety on the menu, presentation of each dish and overall dining experience can all influence whether someone scrolling online decides a restaurant is worth visiting.

For Syde, Tikit developed an integrated digital approach designed to translate those qualities into content.

The objective was to enhance online engagement and footfall by curating dynamic content that highlights Syde’s diverse food offering and vibrant atmosphere.

The strategy extended across brand refresh, social media handling and design, photography, videography, graphic design, motion graphics, content writing, community management and social media SEO.

The result was 5.2K+ follower growth and 6.8% engagement growth.

Giving Syde a Stronger Digital Identity

A restaurant's social media presence is often one of the first places potential customers encounter the brand.

Before looking at a menu or visiting the location, someone may scroll through its feed to understand what kind of experience to expect.

That makes consistency important.

Tikit’s work with Syde began with a wider brand refresh, creating a stronger foundation for how the restaurant would present itself across digital channels.

From there, the strategy brought multiple creative and management functions together rather than treating social media as a standalone posting schedule.

The approach included:

Brand Refresh | Social Media Handling & Design | Photography | Videography | Graphic Design | Motion Graphics | Content Writing | Community Management | Social Media SEO

Together, these efforts contributed to:

5.2K+ Follower Growth

6.8% Engagement Growth

Turning a Diverse Menu Into Dynamic Content

A diverse food offering creates opportunities for content, but variety alone does not guarantee an engaging social presence.

The challenge is presenting different dishes in a way that still feels recognisably connected to one brand.

Photography provides detail and visual appeal. Videography adds movement and gives audiences a closer look at preparation, presentation and the dining environment. Graphic and motion content can communicate additional information while keeping the feed varied.

For Syde, combining these formats allowed the content strategy to showcase the breadth of the food offering without relying on repetitive product posts.

Each format could communicate a different part of the experience while contributing to the same digital identity.

Bringing the Atmosphere to the Screen

Food may attract attention, but restaurants compete on experience too.

That is why Syde’s objective specifically included its vibrant atmosphere.

Static menu imagery alone cannot fully communicate what it feels like to spend time somewhere. Video and motion content can provide more context by capturing movement, surroundings and energy.

The aim is to give audiences a reason to imagine themselves there.

This is especially relevant when the commercial objective includes footfall. Digital content needs to do more than generate impressions; it should create curiosity about experiencing the restaurant offline.

In that sense, social media becomes the preview and the restaurant itself becomes the full experience.

Why Photography and Videography Work Together

Food marketing is highly visual, but different visual formats perform different jobs.

Photography can focus attention on presentation, ingredients and individual dishes. It gives audiences a clear, controlled view of the food.

Video creates another layer.

It can capture a dish arriving at the table, preparation in motion or the wider restaurant environment. Instead of presenting one carefully selected moment, it can build a sequence.

Using both allowed Tikit to create a richer visual language for Syde.

Rather than asking one type of content to communicate everything, each format contributed something different to the brand story.

Motion Graphics Keep the Feed Moving

Motion graphics added another creative dimension to Syde’s content strategy.

Not every message requires a food photograph or restaurant video. Some information is better communicated through designed content, particularly when announcing offers, highlighting specific messages or adding variety to the social calendar.

Motion allows those graphics to compete more naturally within feeds dominated by video.

Combined with photography, videography and static graphic design, it creates a broader content mix and helps prevent the brand's social presence from becoming visually repetitive.

For a restaurant trying to sustain attention over time, that variety matters.

Content Writing Gives the Visuals a Voice

Strong restaurant content is not only about what audiences see.

The words surrounding the visuals also shape the brand.

Captions can provide context, introduce dishes, communicate the personality of the restaurant and encourage interaction. They help connect individual posts into a broader brand voice.

Tikit’s approach therefore included content writing alongside visual production.

This ensured that Syde’s digital identity was not built through imagery alone. Visuals, design and copy could work together to create a more consistent experience.

Community Management Turns Attention Into Interaction

Publishing content is only the beginning.

Social media becomes more valuable when audiences can interact with the brand and receive a response.

Comments, questions, mentions and other interactions create opportunities to strengthen the relationship between a restaurant and its online community.

That is why community management formed part of Tikit’s work for Syde.

The approach supported the campaign objective of enhancing online engagement by treating the audience as participants rather than passive viewers.

For hospitality brands, this is particularly relevant because social interaction can happen close to real-world intent. Someone asking about a dish, location or experience may already be considering a visit.

Making Social Content Easier to Discover

Syde’s strategy also incorporated social media SEO.

Social platforms increasingly function as discovery environments. Consumers may search directly for restaurants, dishes, dining experiences or places to visit rather than relying exclusively on traditional search engines.

This makes the way content is written, categorised and presented increasingly important.

Social media SEO helps ensure that creative content is not only visually appealing but also structured with discoverability in mind.

For Syde, this complemented the broader strategy: strong content attracts attention, while stronger discoverability creates more opportunities for that content to be found.

What the Results Show

Tikit’s digital strategy contributed to 5.2K+ follower growth for Syde.

Growing the follower base expands the audience available for future content, announcements and restaurant storytelling.

At the same time, Syde recorded 6.8% engagement growth.

That second figure is particularly relevant because the objective was not simply to make the account larger. It was to strengthen online engagement while supporting footfall.

The reported metrics do not independently establish how many restaurant visits resulted directly from social media activity. They do, however, demonstrate growth in both the size of Syde’s social audience and its engagement.

One Strategy, Multiple Digital Touchpoints

Syde’s case demonstrates why effective hospitality marketing rarely comes from one isolated service.

A brand refresh establishes the identity.

Photography and videography create the visual story.

Graphic and motion design add variety.

Content writing gives that story a voice.

Social media handling keeps communication consistent.

Community management develops interaction.

Social media SEO strengthens discoverability.

Each element has a different function, but their value increases when they operate together.

For businesses investing in leading influencer marketing in the UAE and wider digital growth, this integrated approach can be particularly valuable. Social presence is no longer just about maintaining an attractive feed; it is about connecting content, discovery, engagement and real-world brand experiences.

Syde x Tikit: From Digital Discovery to Dining

Tikit’s work with Syde was built around making the restaurant’s digital presence reflect what audiences could experience in person: diverse food, a vibrant atmosphere and a distinctive brand identity.

Through an integrated strategy spanning creative production, social media, community management and SEO, Syde achieved 5.2K+ follower growth and 6.8% engagement growth.

The partnership shows how restaurant marketing can move beyond individual food posts towards a connected digital ecosystem.

Because for hospitality brands, the goal is not simply to make someone stop scrolling.

It is to give them a reason to stop by.
