Tikit Joins the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2027

The creator economy is evolving quickly, but its biggest opportunities still begin with connection.

Between creators looking for their next collaboration, brands searching for authentic voices and platforms developing new ways for content to reach audiences, the industry increasingly depends on bringing the right people into the same conversation.

In January 2027, Tikit will be part of one of the biggest of those conversations.

Tikit is joining the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2027 as a partner, connecting with creators, brands and industry leaders in Dubai from 8–10 January 2027.

The three-day summit will take place across Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre and the Museum of the Future. The organisers describe the event as the world's largest expo for content creators, bringing the creator economy together around networking, learning and showcasing content.

For Tikit, it is an opportunity to do what sits at the centre of influencer marketing itself: connect creators and brands in ways that lead to stronger ideas, collaborations and opportunities.

What Is the 1 Billion Followers Summit?

The 1 Billion Followers Summit is a global gathering dedicated to the creator economy.

Organised by the UAE Government Media Office, the summit brings together content creators, entrepreneurs, brands, platforms and industry experts from around the world. Its purpose extends beyond celebrating social media reach; it creates a space where the business, technology and creativity behind modern content can meet.

The scale of the event reflects just how significant the creator economy has become.

According to the summit organisers, the latest edition welcomed more than 30,000 attendees, including 15,000 creators, 420 speakers and 125 CEOs and industry experts. It generated more than 1.5 billion digital interactions and 542 million social media views.

The 2027 edition returns to Dubai from 8–10 January.

Why Tikit Is Joining the Summit

Influencer marketing ultimately depends on relationships.

Technology can improve discovery. Data can make creator selection more precise. Campaign analytics can measure performance. But successful collaborations still require an understanding of creators, audiences and what brands are trying to achieve.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit puts those different sides of the creator economy in one place.

For Tikit, joining the summit as a partner creates an opportunity to connect directly with creators, brands and industry leaders, exchange ideas and explore where influencer marketing is heading next.

It also reflects the role Tikit already plays within the ecosystem: bringing brands together with creators capable of translating a campaign objective into content audiences actually want to engage with.

Where Creators and Brands Meet

The relationship between creators and brands has changed significantly.

Influencers are no longer simply an additional advertising channel used to distribute a prepared brand message. Increasingly, creators participate in how campaigns are shaped, how products are introduced and how brands enter online culture.

Brands, meanwhile, are becoming more selective about partnerships.

Follower count alone is not enough. Audience relevance, credibility, creative fit, platform behaviour and measurable performance all influence whether a collaboration makes strategic sense.

That evolution makes industry gatherings particularly valuable.

Creators can understand what brands are looking for. Brands can encounter new voices and formats. Agencies can identify emerging opportunities across both sides of the market.

The conversations taking place between those groups help determine what influencer marketing looks like next.

Dubai's Growing Role in the Creator Economy

It is significant that an event of this scale is taking place in Dubai.

The 1 Billion Followers Summit describes its mission as connecting creators with brands, platforms, investors and policymakers, while positioning Dubai as a global hub for content creation.

For agencies working in leading influencer marketing in Dubai, that ecosystem creates opportunities extending far beyond local campaigns.

Creators based in the region can reach international audiences. Global creators can collaborate with UAE and GCC brands. International companies can use Dubai as an entry point into one of the world's most digitally active regions.

Influencer marketing in the UAE therefore increasingly sits at the intersection of regional expertise and global reach.

The summit brings those worlds together physically.

The Creator Economy Is Becoming an Industry

Perhaps the most important shift represented by events such as the 1 Billion Followers Summit is the professionalisation of content creation.

Being a creator can now mean building a media business, launching products, forming long-term brand partnerships, developing intellectual property or creating companies around an audience.

At the same time, brands have become more sophisticated in how they work with creators.

The conversation has moved beyond Who has the most followers?

Brands increasingly need to know who reaches the right audience, what type of content performs, which creator genuinely fits the brand and how a partnership contributes to a wider commercial objective.

That is where the creator economy and influencer marketing increasingly overlap.

The future belongs not simply to brands finding creators, but to building partnerships where both sides understand the value they bring.

What Tikit Is Looking Forward to in 2027

For Tikit, the 1 Billion Followers Summit is ultimately about the people shaping this industry.

It is an opportunity to meet creators producing the next generation of digital content, connect with brands exploring new ways to reach audiences and exchange ideas with the people building the platforms, technologies and businesses surrounding the creator economy.

It is also a chance to discover new opportunities together.

As influencer marketing continues to mature, the strongest partnerships will come from understanding not only where the industry is today, but where creators and audiences are moving next.

From 8–10 January 2027, Tikit will be in Dubai at the 1 Billion Followers Summit as a partner, joining creators, brands and industry leaders from around the world.

Where creators and brands connect, new possibilities begin.

See you in Dubai.
